I am currently working on photo project trying to depict “iconic” images of Amarillo and West Texas.  I have often felt frustrated with the lack of scenery in the Texas Panhandle and thought how great it must be for photographers living in places like New York city.  How incredible to have endless streets and skylines to feel the frame.  But this project has inspired me.  This really is a beautiful part of the country and I believe most of the beauty lies in what you don’t see.  I have posted a few of the photos here for you to check out.  I hope you enjoy.

I just wanted to add some photos from a recent photo shoot for Amarillo Magazine.  It is a local magazine that really does a great job of capturing the uniqueness of Amarillo.  The shot above was for the June cover story about the “cool guys”.   Three up and coming local men to keep your eyes on.  The photos below were included inside the magazine to accompany the story.

Here is a photo I have been meaning to post.  This is a shot I did for the Amarillo Globe news.  It was for a local add for the 2010 Cadillac SRX.  I shot this in the wash bay of their maintenance garage.  It is a crossover SUV.  Very cool with all the “bells and whistles”.
