How long have you been a photographer?

Well, I have been shooting for about three years. However, during the summer of 2008 is when I began to make the transition of doing this professionally.

What kind of equipment do you use?

My primary camera is a Nikon D300. It is an awesome camera and I have really enjoyed it. My "go to" lenses especially for portrait and wedding photography are the Nikon 70-100mm 2.8 VR, the Nikon 17-55mm 2.8, and the Nikon 50mm 1.8. I do carry a back up camera and a few other lenses, but the gear listed does 99% of the work.

Does your wife own Marshall Coffee Co.?

Yes, which explains why whenever I need to meet with a client, I will usually meet them there. It is great coffee, nice environment, and since I am married to the owner I get free drinks.

Did I see you pass me in a fire truck?

Probably, I work full time for the Amarillo Fire Dept. The schedule is very ideal; I am only on duty 10 days a month. That gives me the rest of the month to enjoy photography.
